Skincare can be considered an important part of a person’s morning and nightly routine. Unfortunately, many people halt from proceeding with this custom because they are ‘too tiered’, ‘too lazy’ or they simply cannot be bothered! Do they know the impacts and benefits of sticking to a regular nightly skincare routine? Of course there are many, removing makeup and the daily sweat from the surface, help in reducing impurities and blemishes and treats and freshens your skin before you go to bed.

One benefit of washing your face at night is it removes makeup and the built-up sweat of day to day life. Naturally, over the day you sweat, rub germs, build up oils and dirty your pores and skin. Washing your face removes these particles from your pores, leaving them fresh and clean for your overnight rest. Not only does it remove the natural products on your skin, but the man-made too. Makeup products build up when they are not washed off and clog your pores, making them prone to inflammation and acne, something that no one should experience.

To continue, another reason to wash your face at night is to reduce impurities and blemishes that appear on your skin overnight. According to Healthline.com, blemishes are a by-product of overproduction of natural oils. Leaving these natural oils on your skin leaves you open to an increased rate of acne. Other ways that blemishes are produced is when bacteria or dirt clog the pore. To prevent these happening to you, wash your face after a long day of work!

The final benefit of washing your face at night is it refreshes your skin and relaxes you, ready for bed. According to skincare editor Sean Rocky, “when you wash your face, you’re doing much more than just cleansing. You’re actually softening the skin, exfoliating, and increasing blood and lymph circulation, which feeds and detoxifies your skin.” (Well and Good, online). You are helping your skin stay youthful, gentle and healthy by washing your face.

To conclude, washing your face is extremely important to you skincare health. With the benefits of removing the unwanted products of the day, reducing pimples and refreshing your skin, why wouldn’t you want to wash your face at night?
