Skin is one of the 5 sense organs of our body. It protects us like Avengers protect the universe from harsh conditions. Our skin protects us from excess climatic conditions, touch, microbes etc. Imagine what it would have been like if we had no skin? Gross? Weird? Odd? This is why it is very important for anyone to take care of their skin. In order to maintain a healthy skin, we need to know it's type.
What are the different skin types?
The most common skin types are: Normal - It means that you don't have excess and unnecessary oils in your skin nor do you lack those oils. Dry - It means that your skin is short of natural oils. Oily – It usually means that your skin has excess oils. Combination – This means that your skin is partially oily and partially dry. Sensitive – This means that your skin is very reactive. It quickly responds to anything that the skin is in contact with, may it be sun rays, water etc.
How to identify your skin type?
It is very easy to identify your skin type. Follow the given steps and you will be able to findout your skin type in a few minutes. Step 1- Wash your face. Step 2- Pat it dry. I repeat, 'pat' it dry! Step 3- Wait for 20- 30 min(s).Step 4- Refer to the information below and you will know your skin type in no time.
If your skin feels dry and flaky, it belongs to the dry category.

If you can see and feel oil on your entire face you have an oily skin.

If you can see oil in your T- zone and chin but the area around your jaw and cheeks feel dry, then you most probably have combination skin.

If you cannot see the oil but your skin doesn't feel dried out, it is most likely to be normal skin.

If after washing your face, it turns completely red as if you have tripped in front of your crush then you must have sensitive skin.
